Meet Our Founder - Billy Cook:
ScriptMaster was founded in 2023 by Billy Cook, an accomplished Story Producer with dozens of hours of prime-time credits on acclaimed series of High End TV. A London-born bookworm, Billy turned his storytelling passion into a professional power for growing ideas into commissioned series, and story producing hit shows.
Billy’s experience includes original and adapted material, spanning all genres and many mixes between. In development he has ushered multiple projects from their inception to optioned and commissioned series. His production credits include BBC One’s international sensation POLDARK, Sir Christopher Hampton’s THE SINGAPORE GRIP for ITV, and the reinvention of SILENT WITNESS as a serial thriller for its Silver Anniversary on BBC One.
Billy is obsessed with helping passionate writers make every story a masterpiece. In recent years, he has been a mentor on Channel 4’s Screenwriting Course, a panellist for BAFTA Rocliffe’s New Writing Programme as well as as a juror on Goldsmiths University’s Script Writing MA and a Screenwriting tutor at London’s CityLit college.
At ScriptMaster, Billy demystifies professional storytelling, providing a practical and proven writing system refined through years of developing a spectrum of shows.
