ScriptMaster was founded in 2023 by Billy Cook, an accomplished Story Producer with hundreds of hours developing High End TV Drama and 40 hours of prime-time credits on acclaimed TV shows. A London-born bookworm, Billy turned his passion into a professional power for growing ideas into standout stories, story producing hit TV series while helping new and experienced writers complete novel drafts, adapt novels for the screen, secure script commissions and produced feature films. 

Billy’s experience includes original and adapted material, spanning all genres and many mixes between. In development he has ushered multiple projects from their inception to optioned and commissioned series. His production credits include BBC One’s international sensation POLDARK, Sir Christopher Hampton’s THE SINGAPORE GRIP for ITV, and the reinvention of SILENT WITNESS as a serial thriller for its Silver Anniversary on BBC One.

Billy is obsessed with helping passionate writers make every story a masterpiece. In recent years he has taught at the UK’s National Film & Television School, been a mentor on Channel 4’s Screenwriting Course, a panellist for BAFTA Rocliffe’s New Writing Programme, a juror on Goldsmiths University’s Script Writing MA and a writing tutor at London’s CityLit college.

At ScriptMaster, Billy demystifies professional storytelling, providing a practical and proven writing system refined through years on the industry’s front line.
